The Shambles, is an authentic fisherman’s cottage tucked away just behind the harbour front in Port Isaac, offering the perfect blend of peace and proximity.
You step inside the front door to original slate flooring and exposed beams. The Shambles has been lovingly renovated, with a neutral colour pallet that provides a calm and relaxing atmosphere, it is luxuriously furnished with a large nubuck leather Chesterfield sofa to curl up on in front of the wood burning stove for a cosy evening. You can open the stable door and listen to the hustle and bustle of the village and harbour which is only metres away.
The Shambles has well-equipped kitchen, with granite work-tops, a Lavazza SMEG modo mio coffee pod machine and quality Neff appliances which make this cottage the perfect home from home.
The living room is quaint and cosy, with the wood-burner, large sofa and two armchairs. The dining table provides seating for four.
There is a good WiFi connection for those who do need to work whilst staying.
The master bedroom is a haven of tranquillity, featuring a sumptuous king-size and super comfy Loaf bed and mattress, calming colour palette and a 32-inch Smart TV. The true indulgence is the free-standing copper bath, perfect for a long soak after a days exploring. The Shambles is the perfect escape for a romantic trip away, a mini-moon or to share with friends and family.
The second double room has a fun nautical charm, a luxurious and super comfy Loaf bed and mattress. This room also benefits from a 32-inch Smart TV making the cottage ideal for another couple or family.
The bathroom benefits from a walk-in rainfall shower, heated towel rail and illuminated mirror with shaving socket.
We welcome one well-behaved dog at The Shambles which is permitted in the downstairs areas only.

- The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants (aged 2 or under)

- Off-Site Garage Parking for One Car is included with the booking. The parking space is located at the top of the village, and the cottage is near the harbour at the bottom of the village. The parking space dimensions are 1.8m wide by 5.2m long by 1.8m high.

- The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk

- Access Statement – Set on steep hills, Port Isaac’s charm comes with a few challenges — its winding streets and inclines make walking here a little demanding at times. The Shambles is accessed via a pedestrian walkway that runs slightly uphill to the property’s front door. There are three stone steps up to the holiday home, which is accessed via a low doorway. This is an authentic Grade II listed fisherman's cottage and is located over two floors and guests will be required to climb stairs.
